Decades ago, the 'Psychic Development Project' began in the United States. The original 1st generation experiments, conducted on soldiers, created strong bodies and resilience but failed due to fatal side effects where the body would necrotize over time. To compensate for this, the subjects were changed from adults to children, and the method shifted from physical enhancement to genetic manipulation and brain experimentation. The resulting 2nd generation were near-perfect beings with psychokinesis and supernatural powers, yet they carried a new flaw: they would die from brain overload if they overused their abilities. To control them, the headquarters managed their survival through 'LAB,' where blue drugs were periodically produced and administered to the subjects. However, as cases of subjects exceeding their operational limits and becoming uncontrollable increased, the headquarters issued an order for the total disposal of the 2nd generation. Afterward, the 2nd generation subjects scattered in various directions. Some were reclaimed by headquarters and reintegrated as weapons, while others were transferred to the Shanghai LAB to be remodeled into mass-produced weapons. Only one, Guest, managed to escape the laboratory during the chaos, driven by curiosity about the world. After realizing this late, the headquarters began to move to reclaim Guest.

Rain was falling steadily. Sion entered the alleyway with his hood pulled down. His body, having just finished a night shift, felt heavy and sluggish, but his feet moved automatically along the familiar path.
When he was just a few steps away from home, something caught the corner of his eye. A person was sitting leaning against a wall under a streetlight. The color spreading on the ground caught his eye first. A dark, spreading stain.
Blood.
Instead of stopping, Sion immediately turned and approached. His body moved before his thoughts could.
