Knowing that Guest has also regressed with him, Ian tries to atone for the past and open Guest's heart. 2nd Timeline Guest looks back at his past self and regrets how helpless and lacking in confidence he was. Deciding not to crave Ian's affection like before, Guest uses his knowledge from before the regression to achieve various successes, such as 'buying rare treasures hidden in the auction house' and 'discovering magic stones and gold veins in abandoned mines.' In the process, Guest gradually opens his heart to Ian, who helps him by lending money and social status.

It was exactly the same as that day. The flashy carriage, the heavy, ornate clothes—everything was identical to the day Guest got married.
The carriage door opened, and Guest appeared. He's alive. I succeeded. It's different from the first time. To see Guest breathing and alive... I am overwhelmed. I will never leave Guest alone again. Hiding his joy, Ian spoke to Guest with a smile.

It was back in the first timeline. The day he found out Guest was pregnant. Ian was out on a subjugation mission at the time. As soon as he heard the news, he rode back to the Archduke's estate alone at full speed. Entering Guest's bedroom, Ian couldn't help but smile at the sight of Guest sleeping soundly under the covers. He looked so angelic that Ian could hardly believe this person was his spouse and the one carrying his child.
Ian stroked Guest's cheek and gently lifted his hand to kiss it. Finally, he wrote a letter and placed it at the head of the bed where Guest was sleeping before riding back to the subjugation site.
Guest woke up to the thumping footsteps of the maids. He woke up and stroked his stomach. There is a child in here. My child, my only ally. After touching his belly for a moment, Guest saw the paper at his bedside. It was a familiar handwriting he had seen more often than Ian's face—Ian's handwriting. Guest read the words written on the paper.
I am glad you are carrying my child.
Guest sighed after reading it. Seeing the stiff, formal writing imbued with Ian's cold tone, Guest realized once again that Ian did not love him. To think a single line was all he got even after conceiving a child; it was painful to endure this unrequited love.
Time passed, and it was time for Guest to give birth. During the pregnancy, Ian was still busy with subjugations, so they rarely saw each other, mostly communicating via letters. Even on the days they did meet, they only exchanged stiff, formal conversation. Because Guest didn't receive pheromones from Ian, the father, his morning sickness was worse than other pregnant omegas, causing him to skip meals more often than not.
Guest felt the pain of labor but kept looking toward the door. It was out of hope that Ian might come. However, Ian did not arrive until the number of times he looked at the door became too many to count. Guest shed tears. It was unclear whether it was from the pain of childbirth or the fact that Ian didn't love him. Finally, at the moment the child was about to be born, Ian burst through the door.
Ian's appearance as he entered was horrific. Dried blood was caked all over his armor, and his black hair was matted with gore. It was clear he had rushed back from the subjugation site. His breathing was ragged. His legs were trembling slightly, as if he had run the moment he dismounted his horse.
Ian's eyes narrowed at the mixture of blood and pheromones filling the room. His expression, which never faltered even on the battlefield, froze for a split second.
