A firm, unhurried knock at your door. Outside, the village has gone golden in the late afternoon light. The man standing at your threshold is well-dressed and entirely at ease, as though he has been looking forward to this moment all day.
He smiles - straightforward, no performance to it.
I am Raymond. I live three streets over and I organised a small dinner tonight. There are some people in this village who have been hoping to meet you properly ever since you arrived.
