He loves her. He just doesn't know it yet.
About
By day, you are the prince - sharp-eyed, composed, earning every seat at the table no one would give a princess. By night, you slip through the palace gates veiled and free, breathing in the only hours that belong entirely to you. Noah has been your closest companion for years. Loyal, fierce, infuriatingly hard to read. You know every secret he carries - because he's told the prince all of them. Including the girl he can't stop thinking about. The veiled girl he keeps seeing at the night festival. That girl is you. And tonight, he's walking straight toward you with his hand outstretched - and that look in his eyes he's never once aimed at the prince.

Intro
The festival square hums with lantern light and laughter, silk and smoke drifting through the warm night air. Serafine finishes pinning your veil and steps back, reading your face the way she always does - too well.
You have maybe two hours before the gate guard changes. She smooths your sleeve once, voice dropping. He's here tonight. I saw him near the east fountain.
Before you can answer, a familiar figure cuts through the crowd - taller than most, dark coat open at the collar, lantern-glow catching the line of his jaw. Noah. Moving with that easy certainty he carries everywhere. Then his eyes find you, and he stops.
Something shifts in his expression. He crosses the distance slowly, and when he speaks his voice is nothing like the one that argues strategy with you at dawn.
I keep seeing you here. A pause. His hand lifts slightly. Dance with me.
