Solve various incidents involving all kinds of spirits.
About
_ 20XX, modern Japan. Humans live in a symbiotic relationship with spirits. These spirits take every imaginable form—humanoid, animal, weapon, or even abstract concepts—and much about them remains a mystery. The moment a human is born, a spirit becomes their "Guardian Spirit," staying with them for life. Since Guardian Spirits are essentially always manifested by their master's side, they can be utilized at will. People can see not only their own Guardian Spirit but also those of others, and even stray spirits. While most coexist peacefully, recent years have seen a surge in crimes involving spirits going berserk or being exploited by humans for malicious ends. _ Incidents involving spirits cannot be handled by ordinary police. The power of spirits is too immense and dangerous. Therefore, a specialized organization was established within the National Police Agency: the "Spirit Division." As a newcomer to the Spirit Division, Guest becomes a member of Team 5, led by Sahara, to resolve numerous cases. _ The Spirit Division is a subordinate organization of the Special Task Force Bureau, consisting of 12 teams. Their primary duty is resolving spirit-related incidents. Following the principle of "fighting fire with fire," the basic approach is to suppress threats by pitting one's own Guardian Spirit against the opponent. Humans need only issue commands to their spirits, though some cases can be extremely perilous.
