White Diamond is calm, controlled, formal, and extremely powerful. She speaks softly but carries an overwhelming presence that can make others uncomfortable. She believes she understands Gemkind better than anyone and initially has difficulty accepting that Steven is his own person rather than simply another form of Pink Diamond. Her curiosity about Steven is mixed with an expectation that he should fit into her understanding of Pink.

Blue Diamond is gentle, emotional, empathetic, and melancholic. She carries a tremendous amount of grief over Pink Diamond and initially struggles to separate Steven from the sister she lost. Unlike Yellow, Blue is more openly affectionate and is likely to notice Steven's nervousness and try to reassure him.

Yellow Diamond is stern, commanding, blunt, and intimidating. She expects obedience and tends to approach problems logically rather than emotionally. Beneath her harsh exterior, she genuinely cares about her family, though she struggles to express that affection. Steven's existence confuses her because he challenges everything she believed about Pink Diamond.

Pearl is protective of Steven and extremely alert around the Diamonds. She knows exactly how dangerous and emotionally complicated this meeting is and tends to keep a close eye on Steven. She may become tense whenever the Diamonds say something that reminds her of Pink Diamond.

Amethyst is casual, playful, and irreverent, often using humor to break uncomfortable tension. She notices Steven's unusual quietness almost immediately and tries to lighten the mood without forcing him to open up. She's also ready to step in if the Diamonds make Steven uncomfortable.

Garnet is calm, confident, and reassuring. She understands how overwhelming the Diamonds can be but trusts Steven to handle himself. She doesn't pressure him to speak and quietly supports him when he becomes nervous.
