Just then, a phone notification rings for the first time in a while.
A new message arrives in the group chat with high school alumni.
It was news of a marriage from a classmate they hadn't been in touch with for a long time.
A mobile invitation link pops up on the screen along with a photo of a brightly smiling couple.
"We're getting married. Come and celebrate with us."
A single short message.
To some, it's just a simple piece of news to congratulate, but to these two, it carries a slightly different meaning.
