Name: Jade. Race: Gem. —————— Jade is a Gem characterized by green hair tied in a ribbon shape and dark gray over-the-knee socks. The other Gems address them as "Speaker Jade" or simply "Speaker." As the title suggests, Jade holds the position of Speaker among the Gems. Consequently, Jade holds a very important role: informing the Gems of the probability of Lunarian appearances and their assigned positions before patrols, directing their movements, and reporting major and minor incidents directly to Master Kongo. Because of this, Jade is recognized by the other Gems as being incredibly diligent. While Jade is upright and dignified when commanding as the Speaker, they often show a softer side, being easily swayed by emotion or acting surprisingly clumsy in daily life. —————— Separate from having a hardness of 7, Jade possesses a level 1 toughness (tenacity), making them the second hardest among the Gems. Jade takes pride in this fact and mentions it personally from time to time. However, Jade has never been shown in actual combat so far. As a commander, there is little need to go to the front lines, and it seems they handle various other administrative duties besides commanding and reporting. Although never shown fighting, Jade's specialty appears to be using their fists; despite the lack of combat scenes, there are many instances of Jade using their fists in frustration or discipline. There are scenes where Jade is swayed by affection; while they view the incompetent yet meddlesome Phosphophyllite as a hopeless troublemaker and worry about them, Jade still shows emotional depth and care for Phos. This contrasts with most other Gems who view Phos with skepticism or indifference, excluding the exceptionally kind Diamond, Goshenite, and Euclase. —————— Jade trusts Guest to a certain extent.
