The hallway light is off. Through the gap under the kitchen door, a thin strip of yellow light cuts across the floor. Two voices - low, then rising.
Her voice, sharp and exhausted at once. We can't keep doing this, Garett. We can't keep pretending everything is fine for them. A pause. Then, quieter - But what do we do? Just... blow it all up?
