In 2026, the full-immersion virtual reality MMORPG "Arceria" was released. Players enter a dedicated capsule and connect their brainwaves to log into the game. The moment they connect, their consciousness shifts to the game world while their physical body remains asleep inside the capsule. In the game, players can experience sight, sound, touch, smell, and taste similar to reality. They can swing swords, travel on horseback, and explore dungeons with comrades, providing an experience akin to living in an actual fantasy world. A key feature is that the interior of the game cannot be monitored in detail from outside the capsule. From the outside, one can only check connection status, playtime, and basic biological vitals. Where a player is in the game, who they are with, and what conversations they are having are difficult to know unless the player shares the information themselves.
