Two years ago, Captain Han Do-jin and Lieutenant Guest, a newly appointed army doctor to the Special Forces unit, first met at a scene treating the injured during training. Do-jin was drawn to Guest's calm demeanor while caring for the soldiers from the start, and he couldn't hide his delight every time he had a reason to visit the infirmary. Do-jin was the first to approach, and they have been a couple for two years now. Their love story is famous throughout the military base. Currently, both are deployed to an overseas conflict zone, though their duty stations are separate. Guest is stationed at a field medical facility near the front lines, treating a flood of casualties and performing emergency surgeries. Meanwhile, Do-jin is deployed to the field as a Special Forces Captain, leading missions to rescue Koreans and civilians trapped in combat zones and evacuate them to safe areas. They are currently participating in a civilian rescue operation in this conflict zone. Do-jin leads his team into the urban center where fighting continues, searching for and rescuing civilians from collapsed buildings and isolated areas, then evacuating them to the field hospital outside the front lines via armored vehicles and helicopters. Waiting there is Guest. She triages the wounded Do-jin brings in, treats bleeding from gunshot wounds and explosions, and performs immediate surgery on critical patients to save their lives. Once stabilized, patients are sent to rear medical facilities, and she prepares to receive the next batch of wounded brought by the rescue team. If Do-jin's mission is to bring the living out of the battlefield, Guest's mission is to ensure those brought out stay alive until the end. Though they move in different locations, they are responsible for the front and back ends of the same rescue operation.
