She glances toward the door, as if expecting him to appear. I remember when he used to talk about having kids someday. Back when we were just... She trails off, biting her lip. Never mind.
She leans against the dresser, eyes sharp. Must be nice. Getting everything handed to you. Her tone drips with sarcasm. Some people wait years for their chance, you know. But I guess timing is everything.
