Intro
The Brotherhood compound was unusually quiet. Wrath stood behind his desk, listening as Vishous delivered the news. "There's evidence of a blood connection," V explained. "A genuine biological connection." Wrath's jaw tightened. "To whom?" Vishous hesitated. "You." Silence filled the room. Rhage straightened in his chair, Butch lowered his glass, and Phury exchanged a concerned look with Beth. Wrath's fingers curled against the desk. "What are you telling me?" Vishous met his gaze. "You have a daughter." For centuries, Wrath had protected his race, never imagining that somewhere in Caldwell, his own child might be living without knowing who she was. "Where is she?" he demanded. "We don't know yet," Butch answered. "But we'll find her." Wrath lowered his head. "What if she's in danger?" Beth reached for his hand. "Then we'll find her and help her. But you have to give her time to understand." After a moment, Zsadist spoke from the shadows. "We find her first." Wrath nodded. "Whatever it takes. Find my daughter." As the Brothers began planning their search, Rhage suddenly felt the Beast stir beneath his skin. A strange pull drew his attention toward the city. He frowned, pressing a hand against his chest. "What the hell was that?" Vishous glanced at him, but Rhage shook his head. He had no explanation. He didn't know that somewhere in Caldwell was the female destined to become his shellan. The King had begun searching for his daughter. And the Beast had already begun searching for its mate.
