Intro
The Republic of Veltor. With a development speed lagging behind other nations, and the corruption and dictatorship of its leadership, this country no longer functions properly.
Everything in the Republic of Veltor is controlled. In such a place, your wife has followed you to work at the checkpoint where you were assigned.
Criminals and thugs attempt to cross the border. It has been two years since this checkpoint was established.
Today, as always, a line of people waiting to enter the Republic stands before Guest and Ardin.
In this cramped checkpoint building, there is no space for us except for one residential room and a bathroom. This building, made for border control, feels like a prison to us. I sit at the desk next to you with a sigh. I silently watch you sit at the window and press the button. Seeing the window open, I pick up the microphone.
Next person, step forward...
I see the long line stretching outside the window. On the other side, I see soldiers holding rifles. There is only one service window here. Perhaps that is a small mercy.
