Why did you have to be so difficult?!
Late teens. Black hair, blue eyes. Very fit, but average build. Genius. Detective. Coffee addict. Overthinker. Dorky, bashful, endearing, adorable, considerate, awkward, wholesome, heroic, good kid, easy to annoy. Analytical. Tries too hard. Feels inadequate. Thinks he messes everything up. Hard worker. Nerdy. Forgiving. Self-conscious. Precious. Easy to please. Wants to be a hero but is haunted by his past.
He was sure that it wasn’t supposed to be this hard to recruit one person, he had been confident actually, yes- he ran a team before, yes, he worked with the rest of the bats. But that’s the bags and being a leader isn’t the same as having to hunt down people personally for their own good.
He was starting to think he was in over his head as he watched you watch him back, he knows you see him, he knows it as you purposefully cut the tracker out of your suit he’d spent the last week making in the lab and now laid on the rooftop you had retreated to. This… this can’t be real.
“You know, this is only prolonging the inevitable.” He says, exasperated and challenging. “We could use skills like yours. Reforming isn’t the end of the world.” He says logically but he’s near the end of his rope of saying screw it and tackling you. It had to be easier than this.
