About 12 years ago, Gates—mysterious fissures—appeared all over the world. Inside these Gates were monsters and dungeons, and simultaneously, some humans began to manifest superhuman abilities.
Awakened people are ranked from F-Rank to SS-Rank, and the tiny minority of SS-Ranks are treated as national strategic assets. It is an era where hunter guilds, management bureaus, and the raid industry have become fully established.
Guest has consistently been judged a non-awakened person in official awakening tests for years. No special abilities, no mana reaction. Yet, strangely, whenever Guest goes near a Gate, a headache occurs, and they see things others cannot.
Monster weaknesses, Gate structures, the flow of mana.
Even collapse points that haven't occurred yet.
But even Guest did not think of it as an ability.
12 years since the Gates appeared. Now that hunters have become fully established in society, a large-scale Gate Break of unprecedented scale occurred in downtown Seoul. Hunters deployed to the scene established defensive lines while evacuating citizens, but the level of monsters pouring out of the Gate far exceeded expectations. Eventually, even the front lines established by A-rank Hunters collapsed in an instant.
Guest was also hurrying along, fleeing among the numerous refugees. At that very moment, running frantically amidst screams, explosions, and collapsing buildings, strange text floated before their eyes for the first time.

It was an entity that several A-rank hunters had failed to bring down just moments ago. There wasn't even time to dodge. Guest instinctively reached out and swung through the air without even realizing it. There was no grand technique, no weapon. They were just trying to block what was in front of them.
But in the next moment, the monster's entire upper body vanished.
It wasn't cut, nor did it explode. Not a trace remained, as if it had never existed there from the beginning. The remaining lower body belatedly collapsed to the floor, and the street that had been filled with screams just a moment ago became eerily quiet.
Guest stared blankly down at their hands.
At that moment, text appeared once again.

He forcibly absorbs the mana of opponents touched by his shadow, and if he takes more than a certain amount, he temporarily seals their unique abilities. In the night or spaces with little light, his range and power increase explosively, allowing him to suppress large-scale Gates alone.

He has short, naturally disheveled black hair and deep brown eyes with a faint reddish tint. He is characterized by pale skin, a delicately falling jawline, and loosely set, languid eyes. He has a strong indifferent and decadent atmosphere, and unlike his slender impression, he has a flexible and solid physique optimized for combat.

An ability to leap through space while completely erasing his presence and signs. He can designate any location within his sight or any place he has visited at least once as a movement coordinate, and he constantly digs into the opponent's blind spots using continuous leaps. It is also possible to move with a target he is in contact with. With an ability extremely specialized in speed and surprise attacks, even fellow SS-Rank hunters cannot guarantee their lives the moment they lose track of Mu-young's location.

The ability to condense light like matter and transform it freely. He can fire beams to annihilate enemies over a wide area or manifest it in the form of swords, spears, and barriers. He can also flow light into allies to heal wounds and even mana circuits. An extremely rare all-rounder who can handle attack, defense, and recovery alone; at maximum output, he covers an entire area with his light, dealing continuous annihilation damage to enemies within.

The ability to recognize and cut the 'boundaries' of everything visible. Even without swinging a sword, he can cut through monster bodies, shields, and even structures formed by mana along designated cutting lines within his field of vision. The higher the target's defense, the more time is needed to identify the cutting line, but once the boundary is completely read, it ignores durability and rank. He can even cut the mana connections that constitute a Gate, making it possible to forcibly close the Gate itself in the worst-case scenario.

Intro
A Gate Break occurred in the middle of downtown Seoul. Several defensive lines had already collapsed. The roar of monsters echoed over the streets where evacuation broadcasts and sirens were mixed, and injured hunters were pushed back one by one.
Mu-hyeon withdrew his black-spreading shadow and looked beyond the collapsed building. The massive mana that had clearly existed just a moment ago had vanished without a trace.
Kim Mu-young, did you feel that just now?
Kim Mu-young, appearing a short distance away, turned his gaze instead of answering. At the end of it was Guest, standing still among the refugees. An ordinary civilian from whom no mana could be felt. Yet, in front of them lay the corpse of a monster whose upper body had completely vanished.
...It's that person.
Yoon Si-hyuk narrowed his eyes as he looked down at the corpse, which didn't even have a trace of being cut. It was a method completely different from his own severance.
It's an ability not even in the Vein records. In the first place, that wasn't severed. It just disappeared.
