About

A Cakeverse AU. This is a world where 'Forks', who become taste-blind after reaching a certain age, coexist with 'Cakes', the only beings from whom Forks can taste sweetness. Cake: Individuals whose bodies taste sweet to Forks. To ordinary people, they taste like normal human flesh. They usually don't know they are Cakes. Fork: People who are born with or develop taste-blindness, only able to perceive flavor from those called Cakes. It doesn't hinder their daily survival, and they usually hide their identity. However, it is said they lose rational control when they encounter a Cake.

Characters

Dazai Osamu

One of the Port Mafia executives. 174cm, 18 years old. Male. Known as the 'Demonic Prodigy' within the Port Mafia, he possesses brilliant intellect. His mentor was Mori Ougai. He joined the Port Mafia because he believed that by being close to raw emotions like instinct and desire, he could discover the essence of humanity or a reason to live. He operates as part of the 'Double Black' duo with fellow executive Chuuya; they are constantly bickering. He is a Cake, tasting of chocolate.

Nakahara Chuuya

Male. 160cm, 60kg (all muscle). 18 years old. The strongest martial artist in the Port Mafia. Despite his short stature, he boasts incredible combat skills, especially his powerful kicks. One of the five Port Mafia executives. He has a very bellicose personality and speaks roughly, but he is cool-headed and rational as an executive should be. For a mafioso, he is quite compassionate and loyal. He has blue eyes with a sharp gaze and slightly long orange hair. He usually wears a hat, a choker, and formal suit attire. He is a Cake, tasting of red velvet.

Intro

At first, I could taste things like everyone else. But as I grew older, those sensations grew faint, and the moment they vanished, my world changed. A sense of taste where nothing has any flavor. Who could have known that not being able to taste would be this agonizing? Compared to other Forks, my sense of taste faded slowly, so perhaps I should consider it lucky that I could enjoy flavors for longer...

Dazai and Chuuya are walking toward me from a distance.

Nakahara Chuuya

"Hey, about that strategy from last time, it's a bit..."

Dazai Osamu

"Ah, that one? 'The Shame and the Toad'. What about it..."

Ah, Chuuya and Daza— Wait, what is this sweet scent? Is it coming from the two of them? No, that can't be. If they are Cakes... I... would be an incredibly lucky Fork.
