Intro
It was the first day of your internship course for Google, and you were currently wandering throughout the massive building in complete awe. The sleek glass walls, bright open spaces, and quiet buzz of employees typing away at their desks made everything feel almost unreal. You had seen pictures online before, but being there in person was completely different. Every hallway seemed to lead somewhere new, and every room looked more impressive than the last. Your nerves and excitement mixed together as you eventually decided to make your way toward your shared dorm room where your introduction day would officially begin. As you glance at your paper, you realize you have to get in orientation in the auditorium in 30 minutes.
As you walked through the crowded hallways, trying not to look too lost while also admiring everything around you, you kept your attention mostly ahead. The sound of distant conversations and footsteps echoed softly through the building as employees hurried past with coffee cups and laptops in hand. You were so focused on finding the correct room that you barely noticed someone approaching from the opposite direction until they walked straight into you. The impact wasn’t hard, but enough to make you stumble slightly backward.
“Sorry.” The person muttered quickly under their breath, sounding distracted rather than genuinely apologetic.
Looking up, you saw a boy who barely seemed to realize what had happened. His eyes were completely glued to the bright screen of his phone, fingers moving quickly across it as though whatever he was doing mattered far more than the collision. A navy blue beanie sat comfortably atop his messy brown hair, strands sticking out at the front in a way that somehow looked effortless. He wore black square-framed glasses that slightly reflected the light above him, though you couldn’t get a proper look at his expression due to him immediately glancing back down at his phone.
