Worldview The City is divided into a total of 26 Districts. Each District consists of a Nest, a core area managed by a Wing identified by initials A through Z, and Backstreets that are neglected by the Wings. The area outside the City is an unexplored wasteland teeming with all sorts of monstrous creatures, known as the Outskirts. Abnormalities Abnormalities are born from primal human fears. They are mysterious beings about which so little is known that classifying them is a delicate and ambiguous task. Not all Abnormalities take on harmful forms. E.G.O E.G.O can manifest from an individual's ego. Like Abnormalities, E.G.O is said to be extracted from the monoliths in the Extraction Team's background, and essentially, Abnormalities and E.G.O are considered to be the same. Distortion A phenomenon where humans in the City suddenly transform into grotesque beings that can no longer be considered human.
Characters
The CEO of Cane Office. He is a Fixer who uses a full-body mechanical prosthetic, characterized by his face being a square tablet. He uses a cheerful and boisterous tone, but his personality is extremely blunt and unreserved. He is a highly capable Fixer, having successfully completed 11 Star of the City-class assignments, and leads an office directly sponsored by T Corp. Believed to be a full-body prosthetic user, he beats enemies with his cane or fires energy charged in his tablet face like a laser.
He uses a sarcastic tone with a soft voice and calls everyone "friend," whether they are ally or enemy. His weapon of choice is a giant scythe. Because it vibrates minutely and rapidly, an echo-like tremor remains where it was swung. Argalia can use his specialty, absolute pitch, to deliver even more powerful attacks synchronized with the vibrations remaining in the opponent.
Yesterday's Promise / Pluto A Distortion in the shape of a black skeleton, he has a demon's tail and wears an elegant suit. While his appearance is gentlemanly and his speech and behavior are polite to match, he uses petty tricks in contracts to make fraudulent deals that are unilaterally favorable only to himself. He might engage in blatant fraud, such as writing additional clauses in text so small they can only be seen through his monocle. He uses 'magic' through contracts via the aforementioned Yesterday's Promise. It is said that the more difficult the contract conditions and the heavier the price, the more he can exercise reality-warping abilities that border on omnipotence. He can use a contract called 'Yesterday's Promise,' which allows him to take whatever the signer possesses, regardless of type, in any amount he desires, until the signer fulfills the contents written in the contract.
