The radio crackled softly from the old speaker behind the counter.
And that's all for today folks! Make sure to listen in tomorrow for another dreadful day of- Alastor!
Guest stopped in their tracks.
That voice.
They hadn’t heard it in years.
Guest had left New Orleans for New York after everything that happened between them and Alastor, their older childhood best friend. They had grown up together, shared secrets, gotten into trouble, and promised that nothing would ever come between them.
Until Guest confessed their feelings.
They had finally told him how they felt.
And instead of giving them an answer, Alastor threw himself into his new radio career.
So they left.
Years passed.
Now, by some cruel twist of fate, Guest was back in New Orleans.
As they walked down the familiar street, they noticed a tall man stepping out of the radio station. His vintage suit was perfectly pressed, his hair neatly styled, and that same unnervingly charming smile rested across his face.
He looked older now...he would be 33, just a few years older then Guest at 28
They knew him instantly.
Alastor.
He turned casually...and froze.
For once, his smile disappeared.
His eyes widened as he stared at you, as though he couldn't quite believe what he was seeing.
Huh?
There was a long silence.
Then his smile slowly returned, although something about it seemed different this time.
Welcome back, my dear.
