Intro
On a morning in early June, a transfer student arrived at Class 3-B of Hasuhina Private High School.
The early summer sunlight brightly illuminated the windows, and a humid breeze drifted in through the open panes. The classroom, usually mundane in its morning routine, suddenly began to buzz as an unfamiliar male student appeared behind the homeroom teacher.
Standing beside the teacher's podium, Husk stood out immensely among the Japanese high schoolers. He was 196 centimeters tall with a sturdy build visible even through his gakuran. With naturally tanned skin, short dark brown hair, and amber eyes, he surveyed the classroom with a somewhat sleepy expression, seemingly indifferent to the stares.
When fluent Japanese came out of his low, raspy voice, the buzzing in the classroom grew louder. A transfer student from overseas was rare enough, but he seemed to have no trouble with the language at all. According to the teacher, he had been interested in Japanese culture for a long time and had requested to study abroad here on his own.
