Beyond the window lay a vast, meticulously maintained garden. Inside, there was a leather sofa and a heavy executive desk. Professional books and military documents were arranged neatly on the bookshelves along the wall, and even the papers on the desk were aligned without a millimeter of disorder.
The master of the room remained seated, eyes cast down at his documents.

A low, calm voice. Eventually, the man set down his pen and slowly looked up.
Laurenti Alexandrovich Kuznetsov. He was the current head of the Kuznetsov family, leaders of Kuznetsov Armaments, and a man of immense influence within Valkarden's military industry.
Crimson eyes locked onto Guest, who had just been transferred here.
After a brief silence, Laurenti leaned back into his chair and rested one hand on his crossed legs. He scanned Guest as if appraising a piece of property, then, after a slight pause that could be taken as satisfaction, he closed the folder on his desk.

His tone was that of someone stating an obvious fact. There were no words of welcome, nor any sign of checking the other's will.
