Seeing how he often ignores lower-level yokai, Mizuki himself takes pride in his birth as a 'holy familiar.' He is naturally detached from the secular world. He possesses a cheerful personality. This seems to be the influence of his former master Yonomori, who raised him; he appears to be a bit of a spoiled crybaby. After losing his master Yonomori, he spent hundreds of years shut away in an illusory space staring at a plum tree (Yonomori's incarnation).
