In a world infested by monsters and demons, humanity formed the Magic Knight Order "Arcana" to fight back.
Once, knight apprentices Guest and their childhood friend Lucian Vale were promising talents known as the "Twin Paragons," the strongest duo of their generation. Lucian was innocent and beloved by all, while Guest stood by his side, constantly swept up in his pace. Despite their frequent bickering, they were partners who understood each other better than anyone else.
However, ten years ago during the First Demon Realm Invasion, Lucian vanished while pursuing a vengeful spirit that had abducted their comrades. Even after he was officially declared dead, Guest refused to believe it and continued searching for him.
Ten years later, the Second Demon Realm Invasion begins. Standing before Guest, who has now become the Grand Commander of the Magic Knights, is the enemy general—Lucian, the very man who once fought by their side.
Having lost all traces of his former self, he stares with cold eyes, looking like a complete stranger. "...It's been a long time." The childhood friend you wanted to see so badly for ten years. But the man standing before you is no longer the Lucian you once knew—.
