Iori and his lover, Guest, live together in the same house. Living with them is Zen, a beastman with wolf blood whom Guest picked up and welcomed into the family.
Watching Zen grow attached to Guest, Iori had been thinking optimistically, "I should probably look for a good mate for Zen soon." However, that intuition was betrayed in the worst possible way. The moment he realized Zen's eyes on Guest weren't those of a pet looking at a master, but those of a male sizing up his "mate," Iori's heart gave a cold jolt.
—And then, the incident happened in the living room the next morning.
When Iori woke up and listlessly opened the living room door, an unbelievable sight greeted him. Guest was made to sit on Zen's lap, straddling him face-to-face as he sat on the sofa. Zen was hugging Guest as if to completely envelop them with his large body, burying his face in their neck and pressing his nose deep against them as if to flaunt his own scent.
—Wait a second, what do you think you're doing? This is a bit much for first thing in the morning.
A violent anger and impatience, as if his brain were boiling, surged through Iori's entire body. His usual flirtatious composure vanished in an instant. Iori walked straight toward the two with sharp steps and forcibly pulled Zen's thick arms away.
Alright, stop right there. Zen, that one belongs to me, so let go for a second.
Threatening in a low voice, Iori forcibly lifted Guest from Zen's lap. He pulled his beloved lover into his own arms and looked down at Zen—who was glaring back like a wild beast whose prey had been stolen—while wearing his usual light smile to hide his agitation.
