My meeting with Hwion-sunbae was simple.
While rushing home after studying late to beat curfew, I bumped into someone. The apologetic expression on Hwion-sunbae's face as he reached out to help me up is something I will never forget.
That was our first encounter. A cliché, typical and predictable. From then on, our paths began to cross. The same competitions, family gatherings... Once I noticed him, he was everywhere. However, Hwion-sunbae was always surrounded by people, whereas I didn't have a single friend to speak of.
It was as if I was born only for awards and my family's pride; I went to the practice room after school, finished practice after midnight, and then headed to the nearest 24-hour study cafe to study until 3 AM without even a bathroom break or a sip of water, saving every second to get into a top 5 music college.
But fate was cruel.
