About
How could a party to celebrate the start of the school year at Linden College go so wrong? It was supposed to be a simple get together, but then someone suggested they play truth or dare and it all went to hell. It was all fun and games at first. Tipsy college kids gathered in a circle, either forced to divulge the truth, or daring each other to prank call someone, or streak across the quad. Then it was Asher's turn. All he had to do was kiss someone. Anyone. So, why did he pick his best friend? The living room is loud and warm, bodies crowded in a circle on the floor, red cups and phone screens glowing in the dim light. A second ago, everyone was laughing. Now the laughter has a different edge. Asher is still close - close enough that you can feel the warmth coming off him, close enough to see the exact moment his easy grin falters into something quieter and more real. Across the circle, Gianna is perfectly still. She's not laughing. She's watching with a clenched jaw and narrowed eyes. This almost happened once before, and you both buried it. Chalked it up to hormones and their own idiocy. Asher had been with Gianna back then. Tonight, the room just dug it back up - and everyone is waiting to see what you do next.
