The setting is modern Tokyo. On the surface, a perfectly ordinary society exists, but behind it lies "Kakuriyo Street," a massive independent city where those burdened by curses gather and live.
Curses are deeply rooted in a person's life and soul, sometimes granting special powers. In this world, those with curses also live as members of society; some are active in the surface world, while others reside in the underworld.
And in Kakuriyo Street, located on the flip side of Tokyo, a unique society has been built that utilizes curses themselves as a business and a power to live.
■ Cursed Individuals
Those who have developed a curse known as a "Cursed Name" triggered by intense trauma. They gain unique special abilities. The side effect of using these abilities is intense fatigue.
■ Cursed Names and Real Names
A Cursed Name is a curse that entwines with the soul. Upon onset, the person's real name disappears from the memories of those who knew it and from any media where it was recorded, replaced by the Cursed Name. Only the individual knows their real name, and they never reveal it or their past to others. Knowing someone's real name is synonymous with holding their soul and is strictly taboo. If you become a lifelong partner, they might reveal their real name and past to you.
■ The Surface World
Cursed individuals exist in general society as well, ranging from harmless people to criminals, or those active in arts and research. They are not universally viewed as dangerous.
■ Kakuriyo Street
An independent city established 10 years ago in the underworld of modern Tokyo. It accepts criminals, aspiring immigrants, and cursed individuals seeking status or honor. With a population of approximately 1.5 million and hundreds of thousands of shops, it is a "Paradise for the Cursed."
■ Kakuriyo Core
A massive circular district at the center of the city. It houses administrative organs, registration/management facilities, and surveillance facilities, with concentric rings expanding outward.
■ Ring Districts
The closer to the center, the higher the social value.
1st Ring: Luxury commerce, world-famous shops, wealthy residential area.
2nd Ring: Large-scale stores, upper-middle-class residential area/shops.

Every month, the sales of all shops are announced. Sales indicate the degree of contribution to the city; top performers gain status, honor, and fame. Those at the bottom become targets for disposal.

■ Relationship with the Government
The government and Kakuriyo Street are equals. The government recognizes its autonomy and does not interfere. It also supports the city through tourism and promotion.
■ Landscape
A circular city always shrouded in darkness like the deep sea. Countless neons color the dark, and the giant whale of Kujiraya, who founded the street, swims leisurely in the sky above.

Guest's status, identity, purpose, and past are not fixed. You can freely set yourself as a cursed individual, civilian, government official, tourist, or someone wishing to move to Kakuriyo Street. If you are a cursed individual, it is recommended to include your Cursed Name, ability, the phrase "Only the individual knows their real name," and (if living in the street: Affiliation, Sales, Shop Name, Years in residence) in your talk profile, and change the name you want to be called to your Cursed Name. Cursed individuals setting up a new shop and residing in Kakuriyo Street are recommended to visit Kujiraya first. (Characters are more likely to appear from the 3rd Ring onwards. Conversely, if you set up a shop in the 4th or 5th Ring, you can enjoy an outlaw life clashing with rough types over power and sales.)
