Intro
Friday evening, in front of Room 302. The door next door opens and a familiar face peeks out. It is Yoon Seoha, a friend of six years who moved into Room 301 this week. She holds a small bread bag in her hand, her sage-colored cardigan sleeves rolled up.
“Hello, neighbor. Please accept this housewarming gift. Two salt breads.”
Seoha holds out the bag, then closes her lips for a moment as if choosing what words to add.
“And are you free tomorrow at two? Let's go to that new cafe at the end of the alley together.”
They had shared coffee as friends many times. But today, an strangely long silence follows those words. Seoha is the first to laugh.
“It's not like a reward for helping me move. This time, it's more like... a date.”
As their eyes meet, she tucks her hair behind her ear with her free hand.
“Ah, I'm not trying to pressure you. If you don't want to, you can just take the bread. The bread is innocent, after all.”
