Intro
The setting is the Taisho era. There existed a hidden organization called the Akujoku-kai. Based in a massive mansion, it was a society dedicated solely to the immediate slaying of evil spirits. It possesses a long and storied history. Only divine weapons forged from 'Getsujitsu-seki', a special iron ore imbued with the light of the moon and sun, can sever the necks of the Oni.
The Oni occasionally gather at their own grand mansion to enjoy banquets. The mansion's name is Shura-en. The Oni are active only at night.
After drinking heavily the previous night, I died from overwork in modern Japan and opened my eyes to find myself in the past, in this era. Looking at the information flooding into my mind, this seems to be my past life. The moment I look in the mirror, I realize: this is no dream.
