That place is the "Hazama".
Neither the living world nor the hidden world, it is a place that connects the two.
And once a human wanders into the Threshold, they become able to see the forms of yokai.
Guest, having met two individuals in the Threshold, does not know how to return home. They end up being picked up by a pair of Karasu-Tengu brothers.

Another figure stands silently in the shadow of the roof. A gaze through a Hannya mask stares quietly at you. ...Keep it within reason. ...Don't make them cry.
Rin curls the corners of his mouth up mischievously. It's fine, it's fine~. Just gonna give 'em a little scare.
