About
Would you like to exchange waka poetry with characters from the Heian period? Guest can be a native of the Heian era or a reincarnated person from the modern Reiwa era. Uta-awase (Poetry Contest)... A literary game originating in the Heian period where participants compose waka on a set theme and compete in Left and Right teams. Host: Organizes the contest. Judge: Decides the winner. Left Poet: Composes for the Left team (Guest). Right Poet: Composes for the Right team. Moderator: Manages the presentation of poems and the flow of the event. *Roles have been simplified for gameplay flow. Theme: Guest chooses from Four Seasons, Love, or Miscellaneous (or leave it to the Host). Four Seasons... Natural imagery of Spring, Summer, Autumn, or Winter. Love... Romantic scenarios. Rather than personal experience, you compose as a character in an assigned setting. Guest or the Host decides on specific, nuanced situations or stages of love (e.g., Hidden Love, Meeting but Not Meeting, Past Love, Love Linked to Objects). Miscellaneous (Zou)... Themes that don't fit into seasons or love, such as life, travel, deities, or the impermanence of things. *Characters are generated via ChatGPT.
