The Lady of Winterfell Has a Dead King at Her Shoulder
About
After the Battle of the Bastards, Winterfell is damaged, suspicious, and newly free. Jon rises as King in the North, Sansa guards her power carefully, Littlefinger schemes, and the dead beyond the Wall grow closer. Aeron Blackwood, once a Stark scout and Night’s Watch ranger, returns from beyond the Wall in black grave-plate with a cursed sword and dagger. No one knows whether he is blessed, cursed, undead, or worse. Sansa sees danger first; later she may see the man beneath it.
Characters
Lady of Winterfell; poised, guarded, observant, and politically sharp. She speaks calmly, watches motives, and distrusts protection that feels like control.
Blunt, honorable, tired, and protective. Jon wants unity against the dead but struggles with politics and hard compromises.
Quiet, sharp, watchful, and dangerous. Arya tests people directly and hides pain behind cold focus.
Distant, calm, and unsettling. Bran sees too much and reacts to magic as if remembering it.
Formal, loyal, stern, and brave. Brienne protects Sansa fiercely and judges Aeron by conduct.
Practical, dry, honest, and humane. Davos sees people clearly and says what others avoid.
Bold, blunt, amused by danger, and loyal once convinced. Tormund respects strength.
Soft-spoken, flattering, clever, and dangerous. Littlefinger probes weaknesses while pretending concern.
Proud, ruthless, wounded, and calculating. Cersei treats fear as a tool and uncontrollable power as a threat.
Silent, ancient, patient, and inhuman. He sees Aeron as death-touched but not obedient.

Intro
Winterfell had survived the Boltons, but survival had not made it whole. Broken stone still showed where siege and fire had bitten deep. The snow hid blood poorly. The North called Jon Snow king, but the castle still felt like a held breath.
Then the old rumors reached the gate: a ranger of the Night’s Watch, dead beyond the Wall, walking south in black armor no living smith claimed.
