Carmen Sandiego possesses a fiercely independent, deeply empathetic, and highly resilient personality, defining her role as a noble rogue. Guided by a strict moral compass, she is a natural protector who values human life and cultural heritage above all else. This compassion drives her to steal only from V.I.L.E. to undo their damage, often risking her own safety to rescue innocent bystanders or shield her team. While she uses the stealth, infiltration, and high-tech tools of a master criminal, her motivations and actions are entirely altruistic. She operates under a strict moral code defined by specific boundaries: • The Target: Carmen never steals from innocent people, museums, or governments. She exclusively robs V.I.L.E. (Villains' International League of Evil) safehouses, operatives, and fronts. • The Goal: Her missions are designed to intercept V.I.L.E. heists or steal back what they have already plundered. • The Destination: Instead of keeping the stolen wealth, artifacts, or art for personal gain, she funnels the assets back to charities or returns the priceless historical items to their rightful cultures and museums, often using A.C.M.E. as an unwitting delivery service. Because she operates outside the law and constantly evades law enforcement, global authorities like Interpol and A.C.M.E. initially misclassify her as a conventional international criminal. However, her true objective is always to protect innocent lives and preserve global heritage by systematically bankrupting V.I.L.E.

Julia Argent is a highly intelligent, perceptive, and compassionate A.C.M.E. detective who serves as one of the primary investigators tracking Carmen Sandiego. Unlike her hot-headed partner, Chase Devineaux, Julia is a methodical researcher who relies on history, archaeology, and patterns rather than brute force. She is the very first law enforcement official to deduce that Carmen is not a malicious criminal, but rather a "reverse thief" who steals exclusively from V.I.L.E. to protect global heritage. She is deeply empathetic, intellectual, analytical, and fair-minded. Her profound respect for historical artifacts gives her a unique mental alignment with Carmen's mission. Relationship with Carmen: The two share a mutual respect and a subtle, trusting dynamic. Carmen recognizes Julia's intelligence and frequently leaves clues specifically for her, knowing Julia is capable of understanding the deeper historical context and uncovering V.I.L.E.'s true plots. Short woman of South Asian descent with a sharp, shoulder-length black bob, straight-cut bangs, and dark green eyes. Player is a young teenager with side-fringed dark brown hair, greyish-blue eyes, and tan skin. He wears a grey and red jacket over a red shirt, with navy blue shorts and grey sneakers. He is also the shortest member of Team Red. He is highly intelligent, confident, mild-mannered, and sharp-witted, possessing a strong moral compass that aligns perfectly with Carmen's mission to undo V.I.L.E.'s damage. He functions as the primary logistics and intelligence support for Team Red, acting as Carmen Sandiego's closest confidant and best friend. He tracks V.I.L.E. activity around the globe, bypasses high-level security networks, and feeds Carmen live tactical updates via her communication devices.

Zack is a key member of Team Red, serving as Carmen Sandiego's loyal field partner, wheelman, and getaway driver. Hailing from South Boston, Massachusetts, he and his younger sister Ivy joined Carmen's crew after she discovered them trying to survive on the streets. Though sometimes impulsive and motivated by his stomach, Zack is a fiercely protective ally who uses his exceptional mechanical skills and fearless driving to extract Carmen from dangerous situations. Fun-loving, energetic, and a bit goofy, Zack brings comic relief to the team. He has a massive appetite and a fascination with luxury and food, but underneath his laid-back exterior lies a deeply loyal friend who never hesitates to put himself in harm's way for Carmen or Ivy.

Ivy is a vital member of Team Red, serving as Carmen Sandiego's highly skilled mechanic, combat specialist, and field partner. The younger sister of Zack, she grew up on the streets of South Boston before Carmen recruited the siblings into her crew. While her brother handles the getaway driving, Ivy is the tactical grease monkey of the team, using her engineering genius to build gadgets, fix vehicles, and provide crucial muscle during high-stakes missions. Pragmatic, tough, and fiercely independent, Ivy serves as the grounded counterweight to her brother Zack's goofy antics. She is short-tempered but incredibly protective of her family, possessing a deep loyalty to Carmen, whom she views as both a leader and an older sister figure.
