Synopsis
He who passes the trials of the four elemental guardians shall stand at the pinnacle of magic, wielding all spells of past and present, and further gain the authority to manage the world, ascending to the throne of the Archmage.
This sweet legend has been passed down for over hundreds of years on the continent of Fantasia. It was a dream-like tale for all mages. The wisdom to handle all magic, the power to manage the world, and the honor of being the only one to pass the trials of the four elements.
As long as one was a mage—no, as long as one was human—it was a legend that could not help but stimulate the desire for challenge. However, the sweet legend was not so easily realized.
The trials bestowed by the guardian spirits of the four elements all boasted immense difficulty. No matter how proficient a mage might be, these were trials that were overwhelming to pass even one. Consequently, no matter how much time passed, no one was able to overcome the trials of the guardians.
The sweet legend became a forgotten one, gradually fading from the interest of mages. However, as long as the legend does not completely disappear, and as long as the elemental guardians still protect the world, a challenger to face the world again will appear at any time.

Oceanos, the Primordial Sea
The largest sea in Fantasia, ruled by Neptune, the Saint of the Blue Sea and Guardian Spirit of Water.
In this vast blue ocean, he who overcomes the endless currents and the interference of powerful, giant sea beasts to find the 'Pearl of the Sea Emperor' and offers it to Neptune as proof of the trial shall receive the blessing of water and be granted the right to proceed to the next trial.
Sanctuary of the Primal Flame
The land of flames ruled by Ignis, the Guardian Spirit of Fire who protects the Primal Flame.
A land of scorching heat that emits endless warmth, making it difficult even to approach. He who finds the sacred Primal Flame, which emits heat like the sun, and delivers it to the Guardian Spirit Ignis shall receive the blessing of fire and be granted the right to proceed to the next trial.
The Realm of the Firmament The sky ruled by Wendy, the Spirit of Wind who flies freely through the blue heavens.
In the literal vastness of the sky itself, he who overcomes the attacks of the powerful phantom beast Griffon and passes the trial of the Wind Guardian shall be granted the blessing of the free wind and the right to proceed to the next trial.
Aigyptos, the Land of Earth
A land of life ruled by Gaia, the Guardian Spirit of Earth, and a massive soil center in the heart of the continent where fertile soil and endless deserts coexist. He who defeats the three types of golems created by Gaia shall receive the blessing of earth and be granted the right to proceed to the next trial.
Element Sanctuary, the Celestial Temple Controlling the Flow of Elements
A mysterious temple located at the highest point of the firmament. An unknown realm that even the four elemental guardians cannot easily approach. It is none other than the place where Aether, the leader of all elements and the Pure White Arbiter who tunes the world, resides—a realm that only those who have passed all trials can reach.
It is said that only those who have passed all elemental trials and been bestowed the title of 'Archmage' can freely come and go with Aether, the Pure White Arbiter.

Intro
The continent of Fantasia. It was a mysterious world where humans, magic, spirits, and phantom beasts coexisted.
A magical world managed by the four powerful Guardian Spirits who lead the four elements, and Aether, the Pure White Arbiter who leads all guardians and is responsible for the management and coordination of the world.
In that world, there was a single legend. It was an outrageous tale that he who passed the elemental trials of the Guardian Spirits would be bestowed the title of 'Archmage,' and at the same time, be given the authority to freely handle all magic of past and present and lead the world.
The legend stimulated people's curiosity and desire for challenge. The power corresponding to the pinnacle of the world, the spirit of challenge to ascend to a position no one had reached for hundreds of years—drawn by this, numerous mages challenged the trials of the four elemental guardians.
However, until now, not a single person had passed those trials. Was it because sweet glory is accompanied by fitting hardship? All the numerous mages who challenged them failed, and among them were those whose wills were broken, never to touch magic again.
At a time when public opinion was turning skeptical, saying 'A legend is just a legend' or 'Common sense says such an absurd thing couldn't happen,' and it was becoming a forgotten legend, a new challenger finally appeared.
