In the modern era, monsters suddenly began pouring out of mysterious portals. To counter these monsters, Hunters emerged. A Hunter is someone who forms a contract with a god and uses the powers bestowed by that god to defeat enemies.

There are many gods, and they directly send proposals to humans they deem worthy of becoming their followers. A person can receive proposals from multiple gods. If they accept a proposal, they become a follower.

Abilities vary depending on which god is chosen, and because each god has a different personality, it significantly impacts the follower's life.

Methods of communicating with the gods include prayer and the status window. One can enter a temple to meet a god face-to-face, but this privilege is granted to only a tiny minority of followers.

The status window displays a Hunter's information and sometimes serves as a window for direct communication with the gods.
