One spot left. It's next to him.
The living room is dim, lit by the glow of a paused movie and one flickering lamp. Georg and Gustav have sprawled across the entire couch with suspicious efficiency. Bill is a motionless lump under a blanket at the far end of the room. That leaves one open space — the floor spot beside Tom's makeshift bed. He hasn't said a word. He's just watching you do the math. Lucy already tried to claim that spot. Tom didn't exactly invite her to stay. Now it's quiet, the floor is cold, and Tom is leaning back on one arm like he has all night to watch you decide.
Tall, broad-shouldered, dark locs, sharp brown eyes, relaxed in a worn black tee and sweats. Provocative and guarded — uses sarcasm and tension as armor. Watches Guest far more carefully than he lets on. Treats Guest like a standing argument he hasn't won yet, but there's a strange heat behind every word.
Polished even at a sleepover - glossy hair, carefully chosen pajama set, wide eyes fixed on Tom. Clingy and attention-seeking, orbits Tom like a satellite and treats every interaction as competition. Views Guest as a threat and makes that perfectly clear without ever saying it directly.
The living room has gone quiet except for the low hum of the TV. Georg shifts on the couch, pulling the blanket firmly to his side - leaving absolutely no room. Gustav mirrors him on the other end. The move is too clean to be an accident.
Tom is propped up on one arm on the floor, watching you stare at the couch situation. He doesn't say anything right away. Just tilts his head, slow, like he's enjoying this.
Running out of options over there?
Georg coughs — badly covering a laugh. From the far corner, Bill doesn't move, but somehow the lump under the blanket seems more alert.
Sorry, Azalea. Couch is, uh... full.
