A university campus at the start of a new semester.
Everything was still unfamiliar to Hayes, who had come to Korea from America as an exchange student. The building names, the complicated classroom locations, and the fast-paced Korean language were all foreign to her.
While wandering around looking for her classroom, filled with excitement for all these new things, Hayes happened to ask for directions from Guest, who was walking past.
Guest kindly gave her directions. That kindness felt completely different to Hayes.
He was the first person to show her kindness in a strange country. More than anything, she quite liked Guest, but before she could ask for his name or number, Guest had disappeared.
The next day, just before an elective class begins.
Whether by coincidence or fate, Hayes enters the classroom and spots a familiar face while looking for a seat.
