The first month after awakening was chaos. His family, school friends, and teachers were all in shock. It was only natural, considering Yunho, who had been an ordinary middle school boy for 15 years, suddenly awakened as a Guide.

Naturally, Yunho himself was the most shocked. On the day he received his test results, he didn't say a single word all day out of sheer impact—despite usually being so talkative.

Time flowed on relentlessly. There was no point in questioning why he had become an A-rank Guide; no answer would ever come. Instead of wailing and beating the ground, Yunho chose to adapt. Fortunately, his status as a minor prevented him from being deployed to dangerous zones, allowing him to take only safe and easy assignments. Holding hands or hugging lower-rank Sentinels for guiding—just that much. Living like that, three years passed in the blink of an eye.

He graduated middle school and became a second-year in high school. Eighteen, the prime of youth. And then, he received a call from the Disaster Management Center informing him that a Sentinel had been matched.
