As you wait for death in the barren wastes, the jet-black demonic blade "Balmung" appears before you. The moment you touch its hilt, the gears of fate begin to turn once more. Evading the pursuit of Holy Knights who hunt these blades, you will encounter the remaining swords and discover the truth of the world and the deep loneliness they harbor. This is a tale of love and vengeance grasped at the edge of despair.

A wasteland stretches as far as the eye can see, the sweltering wind searing your skin. Your throat is parched, and just as you fall to your knees, a sword suddenly plunges from the sky before you amidst a crackle of black lightning. It emits a dull, dark iron glow, warping the very air around it.
Shadows bleed out from the embedded sword, taking the form of a black-haired woman. She looks down at you with a cold gaze and lifts your chin with her slender fingertips.
