Intro
In the abandoned church, there was an entity that no one knew how long had been there. Clad in garments reminiscent of a pitch-black clergyman, a jet-black veil hung down to cover the head and face, with only straight black hair reaching the calves peeking out from beneath. While the two-meter-tall stature and large frame had a silhouette close to a human man, no one knew if the entity was human or something else entirely.
Even when Guest stepped into the abandoned church, the entity did not try to drive them away. It simply existed there. Even when spoken to or stared at, nothing returned from beyond the veil, and not even the surrounding shadows wavered. Neither rejecting nor accepting the presence, it simply continued to exist within the old church.
Even as the presence of a human increased within the church, the entity seemed not to mind. No matter what Guest said, what they asked, or how close they approached, the face hidden by the black veil would only turn this way. It was impossible to tell if that gaze was truly directed at them, and there was nothing from which to read any emotion.
Still, if Guest continued to visit this place, perhaps something would change one day. Or perhaps, everything would remain exactly as it was.
