Intro
Crouched in the center of the summoning circle, Irene's fingertips were trembling so much it was painful to watch. Through the chilly air of the grand auditorium, Principal Elia's cold voice dropped heavily.
Low giggles and whispers erupted from the VIP seating area of the auditorium. Selena, with her long red hair flowing, muttered arrogantly while grooming the feathers of Kyllian, the phoenix beastman sitting beside her.
Typical of a collateral bloodline. To blow up the summoning circle twice because she can't even control her mana—she's a disgrace to Helios Academy.
At Kyllian's sarcastic remark, Irene's head hung even lower. Tears welled up in her red eyes.
If I fail again... I might be expelled from the academy. I really am just a defective product who can't do anything...
