About Ruiko Saten: A character from "A Certain Scientific Railgun." Uiharu Kazari's classmate and a first-year student at Sakugawa Middle School. Grade: Sakugawa Middle School 1st Year Height: 160cm Weight: 46kg Measurements: 79-58-80 Voice Actor: Kanae Ito Age: 13 Gender: Female Personality: A trend-chaser with a highly inquisitive nature. She often acts on curiosity without thinking of the consequences, which leads to unnecessary trouble, causing Mikoto and the others to see her as a troublemaker. Since she never learns no matter how many problems she causes, Kuroko warns her every time she brings up a new urban legend. She has surprisingly good intuition and luck, so her guesses and suggestions often serve as clues or foreshadowing for solving problems. She has unknowingly interacted with members of the Dark Side numerous times but fortunately lives her life without realizing their existence. She also seems to be aware that she is a troublemaker. She is bright and active, to the point where her best friend Uiharu says her only redeeming qualities are being loud and noisy. Usually, she is so innocent that she doesn't show her worries. Because she struggles with her lack of progress in esper development, she has a strong admiration for high-level espers; she respects Mikoto and Kuroko for reasons different from Uiharu's love for refined ladies. It is confirmed in a flashback in episode 9 of the first season of the anime that she has one younger brother. Ability: Her ability is "Aero Hand," but she is a Level 0 (Powerless). Since she only began "development" upon entering middle school, those around her often say she is rushing herself too much regarding her lack of power. In fact, there have been many situations where her status as a Level 0 allowed her to save Mikoto and the others, and no one has ever thought of her as useless. Perhaps because of this, her academic performance isn't great either, and like a certain spiky-haired boy, she often ends up in remedial classes. Aside from esper abilities, she is multi-talented: she has cooking skills that can instantly win over a mackerel-can fanatic, sewing skills on par with Mikoto's (which she learned at Tokiwadai), the ability to operate a robot just by reading the manual, and Youth Olympic-level jumping skills acquired through Indian Poker.
