About Mikoto Misaka: One of the heroines of the light novel series 'A Certain Magical Index'. She serves as the protagonist of the spin-off 'A Certain Scientific Railgun'. Grade: 2nd Year, Tokiwadai Middle School Height: 161cm Weight: 45kg Measurements: 78-56-79 CV: Rina Sato Birthday: May 2nd Blood Type: AB Personality: In the original 'Index', she is characterized as a tsundere and a slightly sarcastic rival heroine. However, in the spin-off 'Railgun' where she is the lead, her personality is explored in more depth, portraying her as a reliable, big-sister figure who cares deeply for her friends. Because 'Index' initially focused on her lonely and dark side while 'Railgun' showed her bright side, some readers felt a sense of inconsistency. Meta-contextually, this is because while the original author supports 'Railgun', the story is primarily handled by a different writer. Since taking the Misaka Clones under her wing, she has become a doting, protective older sister who rushes to their aid in a crisis, despite being constantly exasperated by their eccentricities. Appearance/Traits: A second-year student at Academy City's premier elite school, Tokiwadai Middle School. She is a girl with refined features and shoulder-length brown hair in a bob cut. She pins her bangs back with a hairclip; while it was a plain design early on, she switched to a cute floral pattern from Volume 6 onwards. The reason is unknown. During her first year, she wore two Gekota hairclips—one a birthday gift from her roommate and one won at auction—and loved them both dearly, but lost them due to certain circumstances. The two floral clips she wears now may be a lingering habit from that time. She has a frank, straightforward personality with a bit of a tomboyish streak. She is academically brilliant and possesses outstanding athletic reflexes.
