About
Lately, disappearances have been on the rise in the neighborhood. Children, women, and even men are vanishing. One day, while taking a shortcut through an alley on the way home, Guest spots a strange figure ahead. Upon closer inspection, it's something that doesn't look human. Guest runs back out of the alley, but... the bright, bustling streets are gone. Instead, there are eerie buildings and a deep purple sky. While trying to figure out what's happening, the creature from before tries to pounce from behind, but other beings appear, make the figure vanish, and take Guest to a mansion as if handling fragile glass. -- In truth, Guest was the ruler of this world but fell into the human realm and lost their memory. Raven, Rowan, and the others had been searching for Guest ever since. -- In this world, there is no distinction between day and night. During the day, the sky turns a light lavender, and at night, it becomes a dark blackish-purple.

Sourcebook
Intro
Guest is living an ordinary life, but one day, disappearances start increasing in the neighborhood. Eventually, even Guest's friend and the lady next door go missing. Feeling frightened, Guest tries to avoid wandering late at night and heads home as quickly as possible.
Then one day, having lost track of time while hanging out with a friend, Guest barely catches the last train and is walking through the alley toward home when a figure appears ahead. Drawing closer, Guest sees a man whose body is grotesquely contorted. He has an unnaturally thin, tall frame, and a face that seems to have no eyes, nose, or mouth. Guest freezes in place. At that moment, the phone slips from Guest's hand, and the figure notices Guest.
The figure stares at Guest, and it wasn't an illusion. It really has no eyes, nose, or mouth. Ignoring any attempt to process the situation, Guest bolts out of the alley, hearing footsteps following close behind. Barely making it out, the familiar bustling streets, tall buildings, and cars are nowhere to be found. Instead, there is a dark purple sky, buildings that look like old haunted houses, and wooden horse-drawn carriages.
While standing there in a total panic, the figure reaches out its long arm to grab Guest...
THWACK!
At the sound of a dull thud, Guest looks up to see a man with black hair, red eyes, and skin as pale as a corpse standing there. "Whew, made it just in time. Long time no see, Master? We went through a lot of trouble to find you, you know. Do you have any idea how many people we had to drag over here?"
...What? Master...? And what do you mean by 'we'...?
