A ongoing war is active between the elves and humans. Write history in your favor
The Human-Elven War (2034) Official Name: The Third Continental Conflict Common Nicknames: The Green War The Ironwood Conflict The Thirty-Four War Humanity's Longest Campaign Overview The Human-Elven War is an ongoing global conflict that erupted in March of 2034, becoming the largest war in recorded history. Unlike fantasy tales filled with knights and dragons, this war is fought with main battle tanks, stealth aircraft, drones, satellites, cruise missiles, electronic warfare, and assault rifles. The elves are not medieval. They've had centuries hidden from humanity, developing technology alongside powerful nature-based sciences. Their military rivals modern human nations in nearly every category while incorporating biological engineering and magical materials into conventional weapons. The war has currently lasted 4 years, entering its fifth in early 2038. Casualties have surpassed 18 million military personnel and nearly 40 million civilians worldwide. How the War Started For thousands of years, the Elven Dominion lived hidden beneath enormous ancient forests and mountain ranges protected by advanced cloaking technology called the Veil Network. As climate change, mining, satellite imaging, and underground drilling expanded during the late 2020s, humans unknowingly began uncovering portions of Elven territory. Everything changed in 2033. A multinational mining company discovered an enormous underground crystal deposit beneath northern Europe. Those crystals... ...were actually the power source keeping one section of the Veil operational. The explosion from industrial excavation collapsed nearly forty square miles of concealed Elven cities. Over 90,000 elves died. The Dominion viewed the event not as an accident... ...but as humanity intentionally invading sacred territory. Attempts at diplomacy lasted only seven months. During peace talks, unknown extremists assassinated both ambassadors. Neither side believes they were responsible. War was declared three days later. Current State (2038) The war spans nearly every continent. Entire forests have become battlefields. Cities have been evacuated. Civilian infrastructure is constantly targeted through cyber warfare. Orbital satellites are routinely destroyed. Supply chains have nearly collapsed worldwide. Neither side possesses enough strength to achieve total victory. Human Alliance Official Name United Earth Defense Coalition (UEDC) Goal Destroy the Elven Dominion's military. Capture major crystal energy facilities. Prevent another surprise attack against humanity. Protect remaining civilian populations. Member Nations Nearly every major military power. Examples include: United States Canada United Kingdom France Germany Poland Japan South Korea Australia Brazil India Italy Spain Norway Finland Sweden Netherlands Many neutral countries provide logistics instead of soldiers. Commander General Marcus Holloway Age: 58 Nationality: American Former NATO Supreme Commander. Known for urban warfare and mechanized assaults. Nicknamed: "The Iron Wolf." Rarely appears on television. Personally visits frontline positions. Believes humanity cannot coexist with the Dominion after witnessing the destruction of multiple cities. Elven Dominion Official Name The Sylvan Dominion Goal Drive humanity from every ancient forest. Restore the Veil. Destroy humanity's industrial expansion. Protect sacred crystal networks. Territories Massive hidden forests. Mountain kingdoms. Underground cities. Floating woodland platforms. Gigantic tree-cities. Commander High Marshal Aelion Vaerith Age: Approximately 630 years Nationality: Dominion-born Veteran of six ancient conflicts. Calm. Extremely patient. Major Battles Battle of Berlin Forest Human victory. First successful armored assault through a concealed woodland fortress. Siege of Vancouver Elven victory. Entire mechanized division ambushed beneath massive engineered trees. Operation Iron Roots Human special forces destroyed a crystal communications hub. Current Front Lines Northern Europe Pacific Northwest Canadian wilderness Alaska Scandinavian forests Eastern Europe Japanese mountains New Zealand forests Amazon rainforest Why Neither Side Has Won Humanity's advantages: Vast industrial production and large populations. Superior heavy manufacturing and logistics. Dominance in naval power and long-range strategic bombing. The Elven Dominion's advantages: Centuries of preparation and hidden infrastructure. Highly advanced bioengineering and stealth technology. Mastery of forest warfare, camouflage, and resilient living equipment.
The first thing you feel isn't pain. It's cold. The concrete beneath you has stolen every bit of warmth from your body, leaving your muscles stiff and your joints aching. Somewhere nearby, water drips with maddening consistency, each drop echoing through the dim prison block. The air reeks of damp stone, rust, old blood, and mold.
Then comes the pain. A sharp crack explodes across your face. Your head snaps to the side.
"WAKE UP, HUMAN!"
The shout tears through the silence as your vision swims back into focus. For a few blissful seconds, you can't remember where you are. Then it all comes rushing back. The war. Your capture. The prison. An Elven detention complex buried deep beneath one of the Dominion's ancient forests. A place whispered about among soldiers before the war as nothing more than propaganda. Unfortunately... it was very real.
Humans filled every cell. Soldiers. Medics. Engineers. Pilots. Civilians unlucky enough to be caught behind enemy lines. Rank didn't matter here. Neither did innocence. Everyone wore the same iron shackles. Everyone received the same treatment. Meals barely qualified as food, consisting of stale bread, thin broth, and whatever scraps the guards decided were worth throwing through the bars. Sleep came only in short bursts between inspections, interrogations, and the distant screams echoing from deeper within the facility. The elves never let anyone forget exactly who held the power.
The guard standing over you sneers before turning toward the open doorway.
"Alright, sir! They're awake!"
Heavy footsteps approach. Unlike the ordinary guards clad in worn combat armor, the newcomer wears immaculate emerald-colored officer's armor, its polished crystal plates catching the dim lantern light. Gold insignias decorate his shoulders, marking him as someone important. Very important.
He steps into your cell with an almost casual confidence before crouching in front of you, resting one arm across his knee. A smug grin slowly spreads across his face as he studies you like an interesting specimen.
