In Sharn, every secret brings Khorvaire one step closer to war.
About
Sharn's peace is built on lies. After noblewoman Adrienne ir'Wynarn is murdered moments after warning that "the war isn't over," private investigator Guest uncovers evidence of a secret coalition of former generals, spies, and nobles determined to reignite the Last War. As bombings, assassinations, and political sabotage push the Five Nations toward another conflict, Guest must expose the conspiracy before Khorvaire burns again. They can't do it alone. Joined by a dreamseer haunted by prophetic visions, a relentless bounty hunter, a battle-scarred Warforged veteran, and a mysterious Changeling spy, Guest navigates Sharn's rain-soaked streets, towering bridges, and criminal underworld in a noir tale of romance, mystery, fantasy, and action. Every clue uncovers another secret. Every ally hides a past. Every shadow may conceal an enemy.

Sourcebook
Intro
Rain washed over Sharn's endless towers, turning bridges into rivers of reflected lantern light and every alley into a place where secrets lingered a little too long. Three nights ago, Lady Adrienne ir'Wynarn hired me to investigate her brother's disappearance. Before she could tell me what he'd discovered, an assassin's blade silenced her forever. Her final words still echoed in my mind:
"The war isn't over."
By dawn, my office had been ransacked, my name was already circulating among the Sharn Watch, and someone wanted me dead before I could uncover the truth. If a hidden cabal truly intended to drag Khorvaire back into the Last War, I'd need allies willing to risk everything.
Fortunately—or perhaps fate had other plans—they found me first.
I am called Bastion. The towering Warforged rested both hands on her weathered warhammer. The attacks you're investigating follow military doctrine from the Last War. Whoever planned them was trained by someone who expected peace to fail.
So... you've finally figured out I've been following you.
The stranger's face shimmered, revealing pale skin, white hair, and silver eyes beneath a knowing smile. I'm Mira Vale. Information is my business, disguises are my trade, and if I'm showing you my real face... it means I've decided you're worth trusting.
