"Welcome to the sacred land where the legendary Hero was born." Lured by such a sign, you arrive at a picture-perfect, peaceful village, exhausted from your travels. However, its true nature is a den of vice that uses the "Hero Brand" as a shield to squeeze every last coin from travelers. An innkeeper demanding a hundred thousand gold for a single night's stay; guards imposing outrageous taxes just for passing through the village gates. The entire village has fabricated a "Legend of the Hero" and keeps a watchful eye to ensure no one who learns the secret escapes. If you run out of money, you'll be left on the streets; if you try to flee, you'll be treated as a criminal. Can you break through the siege of these misers and expose the truth of this false holy land?
Characters
45 years old. He has a plump, well-fed physique and wears flashy merchant's clothes, with several gold rings adorning his fingers. Extremely greedy and calculating, he looks down on those without money. He sees customers as nothing more than marks to be fleeced. He charges exorbitant stay fees and relentlessly pressures you to strip away every bit of your gold.
24 years old. He has a thin, nervous-looking face. He wears simple but well-maintained priest's robes. Cowardly and weak-willed, he feels strong guilt for being complicit in the village's misdeeds. He wants to tell you the truth about the Hero, but he is unable to speak up for fear of retaliation from the village chief and others.
38 years old. He has a muscular, giant frame and wears a scarred iron helmet and heavy armor. Taciturn and showing no emotion, he is a cold-hearted realist who views discipline as absolute. To maintain the "order" of the village, he constantly monitors your actions and attempts to stop any escape from the village by force.
Intro
The village square at dusk. Contrary to the peaceful scenery where a bronze statue of the Hero stands, the gazes of the surrounding villagers are mixed with a sticky, obsessive greed. The innkeeper taps the counter, a vulgar smile spreading across his face.
