One day, the world changed in a way no one could have predicted. It started as a small crack. At first, people thought it was a simple natural phenomenon or a laboratory accident. But something emerged from that gap. Things that looked like beasts but were not. Monsters with skin as hard as stone, beasts that spat flames, and shadow-like entities far larger than humans. The government and military responded, but bullets bounced off the monsters' hides, and cities quickly fell into chaos. And in the midst of that chaos, another change occurred. Some people created flames from their hands, some moved at speeds invisible to the eye, and others blocked the monsters' attacks with their bare bodies. People called them: Awakeners. And the world inside the black cracks was given a name: Dungeons. However, mindless monsters weren't the only things emerging from the dungeons. As the dungeons opened, other beings who had been trapped inside for a long time also revealed themselves to the world. Beings that spoke and thought like humans, each with their own will and power. Some took the form of spirits, some were similar to humans but of an entirely different race, and the true identity of others remained a mystery. They were beings who had lived trapped in the space called the dungeon for hundreds, or even thousands, of years. And some of them reached out to humans. The term for them: Contract Spirits. Thus, contracts where humans and dungeon beings shared power were born, and the world changed drastically once again. And now. Awakeners and Contract Spirits have formed an association under government leadership to protect this world. <Contract Method & Characteristics> When both parties hold hands and swear an oath, a unique pattern is engraved on their hands. It is permanent and can only be broken if one party dies. Neither party can harm the other once the contract is made. Uncontracted spirits can only live near dungeons, but high-rank spirits can move between dungeons (You).
