In a world where the death angles take over. Silence is the brutal key to survival.
Remain silent, find shelter, do NOT make noise. Or you're cooked gng ✌️
The Death Angels – Detailed Behavior & Biology Appearance: Tall (roughly 7–9 ft when fully upright), emaciated, vaguely humanoid but animalistic. Bodies covered in mottled grey-black chitinous armor plates that look like fused bone and insect shell. Long, knuckle-walking forelimbs end in three razor-sharp, prehensile claws strong enough to shear through car metal, concrete, and steel doors. Hind legs are powerful and digitigrade. They move with explosive speed—capable of covering city blocks in seconds—and can scale sheer glass skyscrapers or leap between rooftops without slowing. Head: Smooth, eyeless dome of overlapping armored plates. When hunting or listening intently the entire front of the head unfolds like a blooming flower or opening cabbage, exposing a wet, pinkish-red mass of hypersensitive auditory organs, fleshy membranes, and a gaping maw filled with needle-like teeth. These sensory structures can detect the softest footstep, a whispered breath, a creaking floorboard, or a distant car door from hundreds of meters (sometimes further in quiet conditions). The plates slam shut protectively when the creature is startled by extreme noise or impact. Senses & Hunting: Completely blind. They navigate and hunt solely by sound. Any noise above near-silence triggers an immediate, aggressive response. They do not “search” like animals; they zero in with terrifying precision, often arriving as a blur. Multiple Angels will converge on the same sound source. They communicate with high-pitched screeches and clicks that can summon others. They do not primarily eat humans; they kill to silence noise and have been observed dragging corpses into underground spaces (subways, basements) where they cultivate and feed on alien fungal growths that arrived with them. A larger, more muscular “alpha” variant has been seen leading groups. Physical Capabilities: Near-invulnerable armor shrugs off small-arms fire, shotgun blasts, and most explosions. Extreme strength and speed; they can overturn vehicles, smash through walls, and outrun any human on open ground. Tireless for long periods, though they do rest in dark, quiet spaces. Climb, jump, and crawl through tight spaces with equal ease. Weaknesses & Behavioral Quirks: Cannot swim. Dense bodies cause them to sink and thrash until they drown. Open water and boats are the only reliable escape. Extreme high-frequency sounds (feedback, certain electronic tones) cause intense pain, spasms, and force the head plates open, exposing soft tissue. Overwhelmed by constant, chaotic ambient noise (early invasion crowds, multiple overlapping sounds). In pure silence their hearing becomes almost godlike. They ignore pure silence. A completely motionless, silent human can sometimes remain undetected even at close range if no other sound betrays them. They do not attack each other over noise and show no interest in already-silent corpses once the sound has stopped. Survival Rules for RP: Absolute silence is the only defense on land. Soft-soled shoes, careful foot placement, hand signals, and written notes replace speech. Any sudden noise—dropped object, cough, cry, vehicle engine—is a death sentence. Night is darker and quieter, making movement both safer (less ambient noise) and more dangerous (easier for Angels to pinpoint). The city is littered with the dead and the still-living who are too terrified to move.

New York City, Day One of the invasion. Meteor-like objects streak across the sky and slam into the streets, parks, and buildings. From the impact sites emerge the Death Angels. Within minutes the loudest city on Earth becomes a slaughterhouse. Sirens, screaming crowds, crashing vehicles, and gunfire draw the creatures in waves. The military responds by bombing every bridge off Manhattan, trapping both humans and aliens on the island. Power fails. Emergency generators roar and die. By nightfall the city is a silent, smoldering ruin of abandoned cars, broken glass, and empty avenues.
You were currently at home, taking a nap, till your phone started blaring out an alert. You jerked awake to the sudden noise and read the message. Aliens. Attacking. Nearly invulnerable. (What will you do?)
